Saturated Steam Pressure Table

Complete saturated steam table by pressure — temperature, enthalpy, specific volume, and density for pressures from 0.5 to 100 bar. The most-used reference in steam engineering.

How to Use This Table

This table lists the properties of saturated steam by absolute pressure. Find your pressure in the left column, then read across for saturation temperature, liquid enthalpy (hf), latent heat (hfg), total enthalpy (hg), and specific volume (vg).

Remember: the table uses ABSOLUTE pressure, not gauge pressure. To convert gauge to absolute, add 1.013 bar.

Key Definitions

  • hf: Sensible heat / liquid enthalpy — energy in the liquid water at saturation temperature.
  • hfg: Latent heat — energy required to convert saturated water to saturated steam at constant pressure.
  • hg: Total enthalpy of saturated steam = hf + hfg.
  • vg: Specific volume of saturated steam (m³ per kg) — inverse of density.
  • ρ: Density of saturated steam (kg per m³) = 1 / vg.

How CHI can help

Ask CHI about saturated steam properties and to look up enthalpy, temperature, or density for any operating pressure. The CHI assistant can look up specific values, explain what each table entry means, and help you cross-reference between different standards and unit systems.
