How to Use This Guide

1. Select a chemical using the search box or category filters above.

2. Set the operating temperature — resistance drops as temperature rises. Use the selector to see estimated ratings at your service temperature (plastics and elastomers degrade faster than metals).

3. Filter to recommended with the “Show only recommended (A/B)” toggle to shortlist suitable materials for your wetted parts.

4. Always verify against the manufacturer’s published resistance chart for your exact concentration, temperature and pressure before specifying.

Important disclaimer

These ratings are a general guide at room temperature; selecting a higher operating temperature applies a conservative degradation model to estimate the change in resistance. Real-world resistance also depends on concentration, pressure, exposure duration, mechanical stress, aeration and mixture composition. A material rated “A” for a dilute solution may be “D” for the concentrated form. Always confirm with the material manufacturer’s chemical resistance data before use in service.
