What AS 4041 Covers
AS 4041 is the Australian Standard for 'Pressure Piping'. It specifies requirements for the design, construction, inspection, and testing of piping systems that carry fluids under pressure. It is the piping equivalent of AS 1210 (Pressure Vessels) and is used alongside AS/NZS 1200 (High Pressure Piping).
The standard applies to metallic piping systems used in industrial processes, including steam, water, gas, oil, and chemical service. It covers pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and supports from design pressure and temperature through to fabrication, welding, inspection, and pressure testing.
